LAXMI MEMORIAL CHARITABLE TRUST is a secular, not-for-profit organization in India. With the inspiration and blessings of Tapaswi Baba Kalyan Das ji Maharaj of Amarkantak (M.P.) and as per the earnest desire of Shri Heera Ballabh Joshi of Lohaghat (UK) & Shri Nirmal Kumar Gupta of New Delhi -Life Time Patrons – The Laxmi Memorial Charitable Trust was promoted in the year 1994, in the fond memory of Late Laxmi Tiwari. Shri Purushottam Tiwari was the settlor of the trust, so created.

The Trust is registered with the Registrar of Public Trusts, Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) vide Registration No. 353/JBP/1995. The main objectives of the Trust are to promote Religious, Social, Educational and Cultural activities and Welfare thereof.

Laxmi Tiwari, born & originally hailing from a renowned Tiwari Family of Katni, was a social worker too. She had contributed a lot, to the society, for promoting alternative therapies particularly ‘Nature Cure’.

Shri Kalyan Sevashram Trust, apart carrying other philanthropic activities, had been providing health care facilities, since the year 1990, through a full-fledged Hospital (with an ultra-modern OT), to the underprivileged tribal population in the remote areas in and around Amarkantak. Therefore, it was decided to set up a Naturopathy Hospital too; with residential facilities, at Amarkantak. With the kind support and guidance of Pujya Baba ji, a Nature Cure Hospital, was set up by Laxmi Memorial Charitable Trust on 3 acres of land and the building provided by Shri Kalyan Sevashram Trust in Amarkantak. The hospital was inaugurated, on 7th March 1996, as the first activity of the Laxmi Memorial Charitable Trust.

To cut short, during last three years, the main activities of the Trust were Health Care & Awareness, Child and Women Welfare, Elder abuse awareness, Awareness towards Diseases, Digital Awareness – Programmes; and Legal Assistance to needy – especially to the Senior Citizens. In line with the fast developments in the field of soft skills and technology in our Country, the Trust has also set up the LMCT Institute for promoting education. The income generated from the Institute will further help the Trust in expanding its activity base.
